Motive Retail is pleased to announce an expansion of its relationship with the Volkswagen Group of America (VWGoA). Motive Retail will manage new Interface Design, DSP Integration Documentation and DSP Certification for a range of new STAR interfaces to be implemented through 2011. Motive has been working with VWGoA since early 2009 and is delighted to be involved in the implementation of VWGoA’s plan to expand the integration between systems in the US and in Germany and those used at their North American Volkswagen and Audi dealerships.
A key aspect of the new agreement is VWGoA’s adoption of the Motive Integrator Portal for their DSP Certification Program. Motive Integrator is an online, industry-wide integration and collaboration platform designed to support all of the activities associated with rolling out new integrations to DSPs and dealers. The portal helps align standard processes and information in ways designed to make dealer systems integration initiatives easier for automakers and DSPs.
“As we considered how to implement our new strategy for dealer integration, Motive Retail was the obvious choice for us”, said Jay Fee, VWGoA Process Integration Manager, Dealer and Aftersales. “There are enormous benefits for our program by partnering with a company who has a broad industry perspective and deep knowledge in this area. It also made a lot of business sense to utilize a portal that was designed specifically for rolling out new dealer systems integrations across the industry.”
VWGoA’s plans for new interfaces are primarily focused in the area of AfterSales operations and will leverage STAR standards. Specifications are now available for the new Vehicle Inventory Interface.
